Privacy Policy for the AI Reputation Management Checklist Extension.

Section 1

Data Collection

The AI Reputation Management Checklist extension does not collect or request personally identifiable information such as names, email addresses, physical addresses, account credentials, or identity documents.

The extension does not use analytics, advertising services, tracking technologies, remote scripts, or external databases.

No checklist information is transmitted to ORM24 or external servers.

Section 2

Checklist Data

The extension stores only the information required to operate its checklist:

• The completion status of each checklist item
• The hostname associated with the checklist

The extension does not store:

• AI prompts
• AI-generated answers
• AI platform account information
• Citations or source URLs entered by users
• Screenshots
• Audit notes
• Personal information
• Webpage content

Section 3

Website Hostname

The extension identifies the hostname of the active website so it can:

• Display the website associated with the audit
• Save checklist progress separately for each website
• Restore the correct checklist when the user returns to the same hostname

The hostname is processed and stored locally. It is not transmitted to ORM24 or third parties.

When a standard hostname is unavailable, the extension uses a separate General checklist.

Section 4

Local Data Storage

Checklist progress is stored locally on the user’s device through Chrome’s chrome.storage.local API.

Saved data remains within the extension’s local Chrome storage.

Users can remove locally stored data by:

• Selecting Reset within the extension
• Clearing the extension’s stored data through Chrome
• Uninstalling the extension

Uninstalling the extension removes its locally stored checklist data.

Section 5

Permissions

The extension requests only the permissions required for its core functionality.

activeTab

The activeTab permission is used to identify the hostname of the active website.

It is used only to:

• Display the website associated with the audit
• Save checklist progress for that website
• Restore the correct checklist when the user returns

The extension does not use this permission to read webpage content, collect personal information, access browsing history, or interact with AI platforms.

storage

The storage permission is used to save checklist progress locally through Chrome’s chrome.storage.local API.

It stores only:

• Completed and incomplete checklist states
• The hostname associated with each checklist

Section 6

AI Platforms

The extension does not connect to ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity, Claude, or other AI systems.

It does not:

• Submit prompts automatically
• Read AI conversations
• Capture AI-generated answers
• Access AI platform accounts
• Modify AI responses
• Send information to AI providers

Users perform any AI reputation testing independently outside the extension.

Section 7

Exported Reports

The extension can generate a JSON report when the user selects Export.

The exported report contains:

• The extension name
• The associated website hostname
• The export date and time
• Checklist titles and guidance
• Recommended records and actions
• Completion status for each checkpoint

The report is generated locally and saved through Chrome’s standard download process.

The extension does not upload, receive, store, or retain a copy of exported reports. Users control where exported files are stored and whether they are shared.

Section 8

Webpage Content

The extension does not read, copy, analyze, modify, or store the content of the active webpage.

The activeTab permission is used only to obtain the hostname required for website-specific checklist progress.

Section 9

Data Sharing

The AI Reputation Management Checklist extension does not sell, rent, share, transmit, or distribute personal information, browsing information, website data, AI data, or checklist progress.

All stored checklist information remains on the user’s device.

Section 10

External Links

The extension contains a link to the ORM24 website. This link opens only when selected by the user.

Activity on the ORM24 website is governed by the website’s separate Privacy Policy.

Section 11

Data Security

The extension minimizes stored data by retaining only checklist completion states and associated hostnames.

Users are responsible for protecting exported JSON reports stored on their devices or shared with other people.

Section 12

Children’s Privacy

The extension is a professional checklist tool and is not directed toward children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children or other users.

Section 13

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if the extension’s functionality, permissions, or data practices change.

The latest revision date will appear at the top of this page. Material changes affecting user data will also be reflected in the extension’s Chrome Web Store disclosures.
