Step 3
Website Progress or Page Access Issues
The extension stores checklist progress separately for each website hostname. Open the same website when you want to continue an existing audit.
Chrome limits access to certain browser-controlled pages:
- Refresh the Page: Reload the website and reopen the extension if the hostname does not appear correctly.
- Restricted Pages: Internal Chrome URLs such as
chrome://pages and the Chrome Web Store may not provide normal website information. - General Checklist: When a standard website hostname is unavailable, the extension may display a separate general checklist.
- Missing Progress: Confirm that you are viewing the same hostname used during the original audit.
Step 4
Export Issues
If the exported checklist does not download:
- Check whether Chrome has blocked automatic downloads.
- Review your browser’s download settings and selected download folder.
- Reopen the extension and click Export again.
- Confirm that the downloaded file uses the
.jsonformat.
The export contains the website hostname, export date, checklist titles, completion status, guidance, and recorded action prompts.
Step 5
Data Privacy
Your checklist data remains private within your browser. Progress is stored locally using chrome.storage.local.
The extension:
- Does not collect personal information.
- Does not scan webpage content.
- Does not send audit data to external servers.
- Does not use analytics or remote scripts.
- Does not share website or checklist information with third parties.
Locally saved progress is removed if the extension is uninstalled or its stored data is cleared.
