Privacy Policy for the Online Reputation Checklist Extension.

Section 1

Data Collection

The Online Reputation Checklist extension does not collect or request personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, physical address, or browsing history.

The extension does not use analytics, tracking technologies, advertising services, remote scripts, or external databases. No checklist or website data is transmitted outside your browser.

Section 2

Checklist Data

The extension provides a 10-step online reputation audit. It stores only the information needed to operate the checklist:

• The completion status of checklist items
• The hostname of the website associated with the checklist
• Checklist data included in an exported report when the user selects Export

The extension does not read, scan, or store the content of webpages.

Section 3

Local Data Storage

Checklist progress is processed and stored locally on the user’s device through Chrome’s chrome.storage.local API.

Saved data remains within the Chrome extension’s local storage and is not sent to ORM24, external servers, analytics providers, or third parties.

Checklist progress may be removed by:

• Selecting Reset within the extension
• Clearing the extension’s stored data in Chrome
• Uninstalling the extension

Section 4

Permissions

The extension requests only the permissions required for its core features:

• activeTab — used to identify the hostname of the currently active website so checklist progress can be saved separately for each website.
• storage — used to save checklist progress locally on the user’s device.

These permissions are not used to collect webpage content, track browsing activity, or transmit personal information.

Section 5

Exported Reports

The Export feature creates a JSON file containing:

• The website hostname
• The export date and time
• Checklist titles and guidance
• The completion status of each checklist item

An exported report is created only when the user selects Export. The file is saved through Chrome’s standard download process and remains under the user’s control.

The extension does not upload or receive a copy of exported reports.

Section 6

Data Sharing

The Online Reputation Checklist extension does not sell, rent, share, transmit, or distribute personal, browsing, website, or checklist data to third parties.

All checklist information remains locally on the user’s device unless the user independently chooses to share an exported report.

Section 7

External Links

The extension includes links to the ORM24 website. These links open only when selected by the user.

Visiting the ORM24 website is subject to the website’s separate Privacy Policy.

Section 8

Children’s Privacy

The extension is a professional checklist tool and is not directed toward children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users.

Section 9

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when the extension’s functionality, permissions, or data practices change. The latest revision date will appear at the top of this page.

Any material change affecting user data will be reflected in the extension’s disclosures and published Privacy Policy.
