Purpose

Submit specific Google Search URLs for review under the current personal-content policy workflow.

Applicable policy and verification date

Google’s personal-content policies apply globally and permit an affected person or representative to submit. The current form separates personal information, sexual content, exploitative-removal sites, and content involving a person under 18; this guide covers the personal-information branch. Verified 2026-10-17. (Overview; form)

Audience

Affected people and authorized representatives using the detailed form.

Before you begin

Complete Evidence collection. Recheck the live source. Form fields are conditional and may change based on country, category, and answers, so follow the visible official labels if they differ from this verified procedure.

Prerequisites

  • Accurate identity/authority declaration.
  • Correct personal-information category.
  • Specific content URLs and requested Search context.
  • Screenshots or text needed to locate the information.

Required inputs and evidence

The currently observed branches can request country of residence, personal-information category, the exposed value or limited numeric fragment, issuing country for an ID, doxxing context, specific URLs, relevant text, Search-results URLs, search terms, screenshots/supporting files, additional context, contact details, and an accuracy/authority confirmation.

Procedure

  1. Open Google’s Report a problem form.
  2. For the reason, select the option indicating that the content contains personal information.
  3. Select the category that matches the evidence. Do not choose a more serious category to increase perceived urgency.
  4. Enter the requested identifying value or fragment exactly as it appears. Do not add full sensitive values where only a fragment is requested.
  5. Answer the malicious/threatening-intent question from observable content. If yes, identify the exact relevant text or aggregation context.
  6. Enter each specific content URL on its own line. Use the source page or image URL requested by the field—not only the domain homepage.
  7. Add Search-results URLs and search terms if that branch requests them.
  8. Upload representative screenshots or other requested evidence. Do not submit fabricated, altered, or unrelated material.
  9. Add concise context that maps the content to the policy criterion and identifies the affected person.
  10. Review the declaration that the information is accurate and that the submitter is affected or authorized.
  11. Submit. Verify the email if Google instructs you to do so, then record the confirmation.

Expected result

Google’s form describes this sequence: automated confirmation, review including public-interest evaluation, a request for more information when necessary, and notice of action or a brief explanation if requirements are not met. It does not publish a fixed decision time in this workflow.

Next steps

Use Follow up and check status. Respond to a request for more information with the missing item and the existing case identifier.

Troubleshooting and exceptions

  • Submit only URLs the form can review; an omitted URL is not implicitly covered.
  • If the source changes after evidence capture, reassess whether outdated refresh is now correct.
  • Resubmit a denied request only when the explanation identifies a correctable error or new supporting material changes the assessment.
  • Policy and legal reports are separate submissions.
